USDOL Announces 2014 H-2A Wage (AEWR)

On January 6, 2014, USDOL announced the minimum H-2A wage known as the Adverse Effect Wage Rate (“AEWR”) for all states effective January 6, 2014, for all work performed by H-2A workers or U.S. workers in corresponding H-2A employments.

The subsistence amount remains $11.42 per day for each day (24 hours) of travel for those workers recruited from outside the area of intended employment and who do not present actual receipts for meal reimbursement.  This subsistence amount will remain until a new amount is announced in the Federal Register.
